‘I try not to think about how fucked the world is, it just makes me depressed. But I think it's just ingrained in people, our generation. There's so many life events going into the history books that you just can't worry about (otherwise) there's no room to live your life.’
The four images I have chosen to present are a timestamp for my mid-20s. Each frame shows a snapshot of my day-to-day.
I don’t like to think too hard about the individual frames and let the roll just play out over a period of time. Sometimes that may be one night (most turning out blurry or of the floor) or over the span of months.
With the idea of looking back over the photos to remember exactly where I was and how I felt in that moment. In this case, the roll was shot over about two weeks.
I try not to worry too deeply about my extended future, especially now as the world is falling apart.
Instead, focusing on the now and chasing what interests me is what’s worth it. These photos show that things change and CAN get better. People can learn to walk again, rock will keep rocking, and being on two wheels will never get old. Who knows what the world will look like when I’m in my mid 30’s? but I know that doing things that make me happy NOW is what really matters.
