Today/Tomorrow

The energy, curiosity and dreams that shape the lives of young adults.

Today/Tomorrow is a multimedia photography project created in collaboration with 16 young adults aged 18 to 30. Each participant volunteered to be both interviewed and photographed using expired Polaroid film. Through intimate portraits and conversations, the project captures and preserves stories of resilience, diversity, and personal growth.

At the intersection of past, present, and future, Today/Tomorrow explores the authenticity of this pivotal stage in life, where energy, curiosity, and dreams shape the participants' journeys. The exhibition celebrates these young adults' individual and collective experiences, inviting viewers to reflect on universal themes of identity and transition.

The black-and-white photographs featured in the exhibition were created by the participants themselves, adding a layer of personal expression and perspective to the project.

Commissioned by PHOTO Australia and the Parliament of Victoria, with support from the City of Melbourne, Today/Tomorrow offers a powerful and engaging experience, connecting audiences with the raw stories and creative voices of the next generation.
